May 5th & 6th, 2023.  Based near Sioux Falls, SD. Well pull my string! Toy photography is a growing trend and a way to stretch your creativity. It’s also a great way to practice techniques that can blend over into other styles of photography. We have lined up several instructors to open up this new world for you. Our partnership with Schleich opens up a potential opportunity for you to get your toy image published on their world-wide social media outlets!
Jay Grammond and Chad Coppess welcome guest instructor John Deuter, and presenter Marty DeWitt. Each brings a different style and expertise to the toy box.
Friday, May 5th: After a welcome and introductions, Marty will present at the learning space at Harold's Photo Experts on macro techniques. Optional group dinner will be at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet, across the road from Harold's.
Saturday, May 6th:  Up and at ‘em early for a shoot in a spectacular natural location that offers many options for placing toys within the environment. Each of our instructors will demonstrate techniques they use to create interesting images. Feel free to bring your own toys and a variety of toys will be available. We are working with several toy companies who will be providing subject matter as well. Lunch at a local eatery is on your own. More inspiration and hands-on work will fill the afternoon. We promise you will go home with a batch of new ideas and most likely some fun images.
In the weeks following the workshop, we will host a Zoom reunion to check on your progress into the world of toy photography and answer any questions that have popped up.
